WoW Forever Character Leveling Routes

One of the fastest ways to reach level 60 in WoW Forever is to follow specific routes broken down by level thresholds. However, these routes vary slightly depending on the race and faction you choose at the start of the game. The beginning is roughly the same for every faction: you complete the initial quests in your race’s starting zone up to level 10, then immediately move on to the next zone on the list to avoid wasting time finishing quests that yield significantly less experience than required.

For the Horde, the main leveling zones for levels 10-30 are the Barrens, Silverpine Forest, Stonetalon Mountains, Hillsbrad Foothills, Stonetalon Mountains and Ashenvale. The first 3 locations on the list are suitable for reaching level 20, while the remaining three are for finishing the grind to level 30 and transitioning into the midgame.

For the Alliance, the key questing zones for leveling from 10 to 30 are Westfall, Loch Modan, Darkshore, Redridge Mountains, Duskwood, Wetlands, and Ashenvale. The first 4 locations are suitable for reaching levels 20-21; after that, you should move to the last three on the list, where you will reach level 30 quite quickly.

Once you reach level 30, the longest and most challenging phase of grinding for the necessary XP begins. The primary method involves progressing through level-appropriate zones and completing the quests found there. Riverglades is an excellent location for leveling between levels 35 and 45, offering around 150 quests.

It is also crucial to incorporate the dungeons you encounter during your questing into your leveling routine – we will discuss this in more detail below. However, if the sheer number of quests required to reach level 60 seems daunting, or if you simply want to reach the endgame as quickly as possible to freely explore Azeroth and participate in raids, WoW boosting services can help you reach your desired level twice as fast.

Rested XP Buff in WoW Forever

Rested XP is a key bonus for maximizing the bonus experience you gain. You start with a cap of 150% bonus experience from killing mobs. You gain 5% every 8 hours while logged off in a tavern or another rest area; in other locations, you gain 5% every 32 hours. You can also raise the bonus cap to 180% by leveling up Legacy talents.

Rested XP is consumed based on the experience you gain from killing mobs. This buff is incredibly useful for questing; while it does not affect the XP awarded for completing objectives, you can still gain a significant amount of bonus experience from quests that simply require you to kill a certain number of mobs or obtain a specific item from them.

WoW Forever Dungeon Leveling

The dungeon leveling system in WoW Forever has undergone a major overhaul. While running dungeons remains one of the most lucrative ways to gain experience quickly in other versions of the game, they can now be considered a supplementary source of XP, as the bulk of the experience comes from the numerous quests found within the instances themselves. Below, you can see a list of some dungeons for the appropriate levels:

Character LevelDungeon
10-20Hall of Thanes/Ruins of Lordaeron
20-30Excavation Site: Wetlands, City of Dalaran
30-40The Drowned City
40-50Krol’dok Stronghold, Alcaz Prison
50-58Blackmaw Hold
58-60Shaper’s Terrace

In addition to increasing the number of quests, the amount of XP you receive upon completing them has also been increased. To gain the maximum amount of experience from a single run, you now need to focus specifically on quest requirements, as there is no longer any point in clearing all the trash mobs on the way to the boss.

Legacy Leveling in WoW Forever

In WoW Forever, you also have the opportunity to speed up your character’s leveling by progressing through Legacy talents. You earn points for completing specific tasks, such as reaching a certain level or clearing a dungeon. Below is a list of Legacy perks that act as passive character upgrades and will help you with leveling:

  • Well Rested – Your rested experience accumulates 4% faster, your rested experience cap is increased by 4%;
  • Thrill of Adventure – You gain 1% of your maximum Health and Mana over 10 sec each time you deliver the killing blow to a non-trivial enemy. Ineffective in dungeons, raids, and battlegrounds;
  • Frequent Flier – Flight paths cost 50% less, and your flight path mount flies 20% faster;
  • Talented – You gain talent points every level starting at level 9 instead of level 10, but you may still have no more than 51 total talent points.

Legacy perks also greatly facilitate the rapid leveling of alts if you already have other high-level characters. Completing Legacy challenges earns you points on your alts, allowing you to activate perks immediately after character creation and speed up the leveling process. You can find a complete list of all perks and Legacy challenges in the Wowhead database.
