By tradition, Guardians celebrate their great achievements every year. This summer event Solstice of Heroes starts on August 11.
EAZ
The European Aerial Zone will once again be full of troops of the Hive, Cabal and Fallen, which must be destroyed. Eliminate as many bosses as possible as part of a three-player group, then search for chests hidden on a floating islands. The more bosses you destroy, the more rewards you will get.
Armor Grading, the Main Activity
As before, initially you have a rare set of armor, and you improve it, turning it into a Majestic one. As soon as you collect all the legendary set, you can start improving your armor to a “Great” level. Complete the list below to achieve the Magnificent set:
— Complete a Nightfall Ordeal on the Master difficulty.
— Complete a Nightmare Hunt.
— Complete Pit of Heresy.
— Win seven Trials of Osiris matches.
— Complete a Tier 5 Altar of Sorrow three times.
If you complete all these tasks, your Magnificent armor will begin to emit a white glow. You need to upgrade your armor to a Magnificent during the event, but you can also complete tasks from this list to unlock the glow after it ends. After you earn a Magnificent armor, you can continue to receive armor pieces with random stats from the Solstice bundles in EAZ.
After collecting the Majestic set of legendary armor, you will be able to exchange Silver or Bright Dust in the Eververse Store for a Universal Ornaments set. Ornaments will allow you to change the glow of the armor to match the color of the element of your subclass. Unlike last year, you don’t need to purchase different glow colors separately. A character of each class will be able to add three different natural glow types to their armor, which will correspond to the currently selected subclass.
Since the elemental glow sets are Universal Ornaments now, you can use them with any 2.0 Armor, not just the Solstice one as before.
All Universal Ornaments also support the fourth type of glow – for players who will choose a subclass of Stasis this fall after the release of Beyond Light.
The glow of the Universal Ornaments cannot be turned on or off. The white glow of the Magnificent set will also always be active as soon as you pass the test for any of its piece. The intensity of the white and elemental glow changes depending on the amount of superpower energy you have at the moment.
Few days ago dmg04 on Twitter explained: after receiving the Magnificent (final legendary) Solstice Armor set on one of the characters, the progress of obtaining it for other classes will accelerate — twice on the second character, and three times for the last. So there will be a little less grind.
New at the Eververse
There are lots of cool cosmetics at the Eververse Store. During the event any item related to the Solstice of Heroes can be purchased for silver and bright dust.
